OK. Now I’m Really Scared… FLUX 2 Just Made Reality Feel Wrong

FLUX 2 just arrived and it makes AI images feel wrong in the best way. Black Forest Labs rebuilt the whole stack with a new Mistral-based vision-language model, rectified flow transformer, and custom VAE, so you get multi-reference consistency across up to 10 images, 4MP renders, and way better text and layout control than older open models.
At the same time, Tencent dropped HunyuanVideo 1.5, an 8.3B open video model that runs on consumer GPUs and still delivers smooth motion, strong instruction following, and 480p–720p clips upscaled cleanly to 1080p.
